On September 3, 2026, Fox News Media announced that Bartiromo was no longer with the company, ending a relationship that lasted approximately 12 and a half years. Fox thanked her for her work and wished her well in her next chapter, but did not give a reason for her departure.

From CNBC to Fox

Bartiromo first became widely known during her roughly two decades at CNBC. She joined the network in 1993 and developed a reputation as a prominent financial journalist.

One of her most notable career milestones came in 1995, when she became the first journalist to regularly report live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. The achievement helped establish her as a pioneering figure in financial television.

In 2014, Bartiromo joined Fox Business Network as Global Markets Editor. She subsequently became the host of Mornings with Maria, while also presenting programs including Maria Bartiromo's Wall Street and Sunday Morning Futures on Fox News Channel.

A Familiar Face on American Television

Throughout her career, Bartiromo interviewed major figures from business, finance and government. Her programs frequently focused on markets, the economy, investing and the political issues affecting American businesses.

Her work earned multiple honors, including two Emmy Awards and a Gracie Award. She was also inducted into the Cable Hall of Fame in 2011.

What Happens to Her Fox Programs?

Following her departure, Fox announced changes to the programs associated with Bartiromo.

Mornings with Maria is being renamed Mornings with FOX Business, with rotating anchors expected to host the program. Maria Bartiromo's Wall Street is becoming FBN's Wall Street, while Sunday Morning Futures will temporarily be hosted by Jason Chaffetz.

The network said a permanent replacement for the Sunday program would be announced at a later date.

Bartiromo's departure marks the end of a significant era in her television career. From her early work at CNBC to her years at Fox, she has remained a highly recognizable personality in American business news.

For now, her next professional move remains unknown. Neither Fox News Media nor Bartiromo has publicly announced what she will do next.
