Barcelona 7–2 Racing Santander: Raphinha Hat-Trick Leads Camp Nou Rout

Barcelona continued their impressive start to the 2026/27 LaLiga season with a convincing 7–2 victory over Racing Santander at Spotify Camp Nou.

João Cancelo opened the scoring in the eighth minute with a powerful long-range finish after receiving the ball from Lamine Yamal. Raphinha then doubled Barcelona’s lead from the penalty spot in the 25th minute.

Racing Santander responded through Maguette Gueye, but Barcelona quickly restored their two-goal advantage when Asier Villalibre turned the ball into his own net. Raphinha struck again before halftime, converting another penalty to give Barcelona a 4–1 lead at the break.

Racing refused to give up and Yassir Zabiri reduced the deficit to 4–2 in the 65th minute. Barcelona immediately responded, with Raphinha completing his hat-trick from another penalty just two minutes later.

Gabriel Jesus added Barcelona’s sixth goal in the 79th minute, finishing from a Lamine Yamal assist. Yamal then got on the scoresheet himself in the 89th minute to complete the 7–2 victory.

The win means Barcelona have won all six of their LaLiga matches so far. Across all competitions, the club has also won seven consecutive matches to begin the campaign. Barcelona have scored 33 goals in those seven games, according to the club and match reports.

Raphinha was the standout player, scoring three times, including two penalties. His goalscoring form has made him one of the central figures in Barcelona’s strong attacking start.

Barcelona will now turn their attention to their next LaLiga match away against Sevilla on September 19. Racing Santander are scheduled to face Celta Vigo on the same day.
