🇪🇸 Luis de la Fuente Stays With Spain Until 2032

Luis de la Fuente will remain in charge of the Spanish national team until 2032 after the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) approved a six-year contract extension on September 21, 2026.

The decision comes after an extraordinary run of success under the 65-year-old coach. Since taking charge of Spain, de la Fuente has guided the team to the UEFA Nations League title, UEFA EURO 2024 and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Spain's latest achievement came on July 19, when they won their second World Cup after defeating Argentina in the final in New Jersey. The victory added another major international trophy to de la Fuente's record.

The new agreement will see de la Fuente lead Spain through the 2028 European Championship, the 2030 World Cup and EURO 2032. Spain will also begin a new UEFA Nations League campaign this month, starting against England at Wembley on September 26.

With de la Fuente staying in the dugout, Spain now enters its next international cycle with the same coach who delivered its recent major trophies.

🇪🇸 Luis de la Fuente until 2032. A new chapter begins for Spain.
