Cristiano Ronaldo Could Leave Al-Nassr in the Winter Transfer Window

Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Al-Nassr has suddenly become a major talking point, with reports suggesting that the Portuguese superstar could leave the Saudi club during the January transfer window.

A Saudi journalist has predicted that Ronaldo may depart Al-Nassr when the winter market opens. The claim comes at a time when questions about the veteran forward’s long-term future are increasing.

Ronaldo, now 41, signed a contract extension with Al-Nassr in 2025 that was announced as running until 2027. However, Ronaldo himself has recently indicated that his playing career could be nearing its conclusion.

In August, Ronaldo said that the 2026/27 season was “probably” his last year in football and suggested that he expected to retire when his current Al-Nassr deal ends next summer.

That statement makes the January transfer window particularly interesting. If the latest Saudi reports prove accurate, Ronaldo could potentially leave Al-Nassr several months before the expected end of his contract.

The speculation follows a difficult start to Al-Nassr’s AFC Champions League Elite campaign. The club suffered a 4–0 defeat against Al Ain, while Ronaldo was unable to make a major difference during the match.

Still, there has been no official announcement from Ronaldo or Al-Nassr confirming a January departure. For now, the possibility remains a developing transfer story rather than a completed deal.

If Ronaldo does leave in January, it could mark a major turning point in the final chapter of his playing career. For the moment, fans will have to wait for further developments before knowing whether the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will continue his Al-Nassr journey beyond the winter window.
